Milking It: Zara @WHATZARALOVES

Interview by TMILKY

Introducing Zara: a vibrant fashionista blending trends with personal flair. From chic street style to stunning content spots, Zara’s unique and authentic approach shines through.

What’s your go-to milk?

Coconut milk in coffee, almond in cereal!

How do you incorporate London-inspired unique style into your wardrobe?

I love taking inspiration from the girls on the streets of London. It’s like a walking Pinterest board, but I find it so much easier to take inspiration from and recreate outfits that I see in real life as opposed to on a screen.

Share your process for planning and creating your fun fashion videos.

I try never to make my content too deep, or it can come across as inauthentic. So I usually just pair my outfit with a trendy audio and hit record.

What are some of your favorite spots in London? Think food + filming spots.

I recently went to Berenjak and had one of the best meals of my life. It’s a Persian restaurant that serves the best small plates. I love Brick Lane for making content; even the coffee shops made such sick backdrops for photos.

What do you think about staying on-trend?

I think online it seems important to stay on-trend in terms of relevance. But I’m trying to steer away from trends in my own style and interests so I can foster more of a personal style and not fall into micro-trend traps.

What’s one fashion tip or trend you’re scared to try?

I want to hop on the Samba trend, but I’m scared I’d wreck them. I only buy cheap shoes because I always ruin my trainers. So I’m scared to spend a lot on a trainer that I’ll inevitably destroy.

What’s the hardest part about filming clips for social media?

I think it’s generating new ideas constantly. It’s expected online to churn out so much content weekly or even daily, that it’s hard to come up with ideas sometimes. But I’ve been focusing on quality over quantity lately and prefer that method!
